WELCOME TO C-CARD TRAINING FOR PROFESSIONALS IN TOWER HAMLETS
Please Note – This is a two day training workshop. Attendance on BOTH days is required.
Aim: To equip attendees with the knowledge, skills and confidence required to be able to provide the C-Card condom distribution intervention to young people.
Learning Outcomes. By the end of the training, attendees will:
- Demonstrate an awareness about local and national trends in STIs, HIV and teenage pregnancy.
- Increase their understanding of sexual health issues affecting young people.
- Assess risk among sexually active young people
- Correctly perform a condom demonstration.
- Increase confidence in communicating with young people about sexual health and condom use
- Explore their own values and attitudes around *** and relationships.
- Discuss barriers that discourage people from accessing sexual health services
- Explore young people friendly services in relation to condom distribution schemes
- Participate in the delivery of condom distribution schemes within their roles.
*This training is FREE for professionals working with young people (under 25)in Tower Hamlets . The training is a 2 day course and you are require to attend on BOTH days .
Thursday 3rd December 2020 10am – 3pm
Friday 4th December 2020 10am -3pm
**There may be a £50 charge if you fail to attend without notifying the training provider at least five working days prior to the training date.
