Some of my best friends are gay

This is a free one-day course delivered by THT Norfolk for all practitioners promoting sexual health in Norfolk. Aim: To understand the impact of homophobia and heterosexism, language, and key issues facing the *******, gay and bisexual community. Outcomes: (participants should be able to) Participate confidently in work with the gay community. Identify some of the detrimental effects of homophobia and heterosexism. Describe ways to increase confidence in ‘saying/doing the right thing’. Identify ways of making a service more user friendly for gay, ******* and bisexual service users. Lunch is not provided, although tea and coffee are available and there are shops nearby. Free parking is available on site .  Please follow the signs the the FIELD PARKING.  The Training Lounge is located in a seperate building at the rear of the main Independence Matters building.  Please arrive from 9:45 to sign-in.
