Riverford Pumpkin Day, Wash Farm, Devon

It’s time for Riverford’s legendary annual Pumpkin Day. Pull on your wellies and join us at Wash Farm for another festival of autumnal cheer!   Children’s activities include pumpkin decorating, **** painting, storytelling, and a creativity area.   There’s plenty for adults too; take a stroll around our beautiful farm, hear Riverford founder Guy Singh-Watson and an expert panel debate ‘Eating for the Planet’, or pop along to Penny’s polytunnel for seed-potting and headdress-making workshops.   There will be live music from Banned on the Moor and Stompin Dave, and lots of organic food and drink: treat yourself at our Farmers’ Market, grab something tasty from The Riverford Field Kitchen, or enjoy hot drinks from our lovely traders Beanbug Coffee and Lemon Jelli.   We need your help – plastic-free Pumpkin day! We’re declaring 2019 our very first plastic-free Pumpkin Day. Pumpkins will be decorated rather than carved, because of the number of plastic tools needed for the carving.   All food and drink from Riverford and our traders will be in 100% compostable containers. We’d love you to help us by bringing water bottles, reusable cups, reusable plates and cutlery, or even Tupperware.   This is a ticketed event, and numbers are limited – please buy your tickets in advance now.   Family tickets (including a £2 saving):   Package 1 (2 adults & 1 child) – £15   Package 2 (2 adults & 2 children) – £20   Package 3 (2 adults & 3 children) – £25   Package 4 (1 ***** & 1 child) – £9   Package 5 (1 ***** & 2 children) – £14   Package 6 (1 ***** & 3 children) – £19   Individual tickets:   Adults – £6   Children – £5   Under 3’s – free entry   Important notes: –           The car park will not open until 10.30am   –           Tickets are limited, and not available on the door – you must buy in advance   –           Download your ticket with sufficient Wi-Fi/4G before entering Wash Farm, as signal on site is poor   –           Adults get a FREE  Riverford cotton shopper  –           Children get a FREE pumpkin with their ticket   –           Some activities have a small charge (e.g. **** painting)   –           Please bring cash for refreshments.
