About this Event
Open Table Sefton is an inclusive Christian community based in Crosby which meets monthly, on the second Sunday of each month. We welcome all and extend a particular welcome to the LGBTQIA+ community and all who are seeking an inclusive church and a safe space to explore and question faith and worship God, just as the person they are.
At 6pm we open our doors and gather around the table informally, and chat and catch up with one another. We share a simple meal and tea and coffee together. People are welcome to bring something to the meal if they wish but there is never an obligation to bring anything. Just come as you are!
We begin our service of worship at 6:30pm. We follow a set service of welcome using beautiful liturgy from the Iona community and we sing songs, have a time of chat and reflection and move into the church to light candles in prayer. We share bread and wine at this point in the service (communion) with gluten free and non-alcoholic wine always available. All are welcome to join in or leave the service at any point.
