MUSIC WORKING WITHIN and ACROSS THE ARTS A *one-day course for Essex Primary School teachers of creative exploration linking music, art, dance and drama.  An opportunity to be immersed in accessible Primary School Arts Activities.  The workshop is suitable for both specialist and generalist practitioners. *Course is subsidised from £140 to £40 by Essex Music Services. £40 will be invoiced to your school before the event. Essex Music Education Hub has again partnered with Music Education Consultant Sue Nicholls for the delivery of this unique course to explore and improve how music can work within and across the Arts. Sue will be sharing the delivery with Peter Lovell, our Schools Curriculum Standards and Development Lead Officer for Essex Music Services who will also be able to outline ways in which the service can support your own schools’ needs. Course is available for Primary School Teachers in Essex Schools Lunch will be provided – please advise any DIETARY requirements or allergens when booking your place. COURSE LEADERS – Sue Nicholls and Peter Lovell. Sue Nicholls worked as a music subject leader and AST in many primary settings during her career as a teacher. She has published several music resource books for non-specialists for A & C Black and OUP and contributed material to many other publications. Sue now works as an independent music education consultant leading workshops and courses for schools and music hubs: she delivers PGCE music modules for teacher training at Leicester University and leads the ‘fast-track’ Trinity CME programme at the University of Northampton Peter Lovell worked as a Music Teacher in Essex for many years and is now actively involved in Music Education as the innovative Schools Curriculum Standards and Development Lead Officer for Essex Music Services.
