Freelance Mum at The Farm – November

Freelance Mum at The Farm – November 27th So how does it work? Here’s a typical meeting. What is networking with Freelance Mum?   This is not your regular networking event. At Freelance Mum, not only will you be able to connect with likeminded businesswomen (and the occasional freelance dad too!), you’ll also be able to bring your kids along. They’ll be well catered for with plenty of toys to play with, and no one will mind if you breastfeed your baby while you chat or have to stop a conversation to change your toddlers nappy.   The group typically meets on the second Tuesday of every month at St Paul’s Church in Southville and at Windmill Hill City Farm on the fourth Friday of the month.   We celebrate International Women’s Day in March every year at Redmaids’ High Junior School, with our showcase event, Brave, Bold & Bonkers. Plus, there are additional evening events in July and December, with The Evening Sessions – when we meet child-free.  August is the only month we don’t hold a meeting, due to summer holidays – but our on line community, The Mothership, still offers plenty of support.    10:00 Welcome Introductions, chats, and a fun ice breaker.   10:30 The Netwalk A chance to have 121 conversations with three different people, facilitated with focus questions, as we take the kids on a walk around the local area.   11:00 Tea, Coffee and Treats A well-earned drink and a tasty something sweet from our sponsors Cafe Direct, The Local Bakehouse and KudaCan.   11:15 Guest Speaker Be informed and inspired by our guest speaker while your little ones are entertained with craft activities.   11:35 Five Minutes With A chance for one of our freelance mums to share their business with you.   11.40 One Minute With  Catch up on social media, make connections, take a selifie – do what you want on social media for one minute!   11:40 The Business Exchange A quick-fire group round where you can tell people about your business in just 60 seconds.   11:45 Free networking A chance to catch up with anyone you havenít yet spoken to, and pencil in a couple of 121s.   How much does it cost? If you’re new and you want to try out Freelance Mum, you can attend for one month absolutely free. Make sure you select the FM taster ticket option. That includes both Freelance Mum at The Farm and Freelance Mum at St Paul’s during that month. You’ll also get a month’s access to The Mothership, our buzzing Facebook community. So far, so budget friendly!   When you decide to join up (and we think it will be when rather than if!) there is just one simple monthly payment of £15 per month which covers everything: monthly meetings at both the Farm and St Paul’s plus access to The Mothership. We’ll get you set up on Go Cardless and the rest is simple. Once you’ve become a member, you need the Free FM Member Ticket option.   Is there childcare offered? We hope your children enjoy the toys and activities provided for them but please remember that they remain your responsibility throughout the Freelance Mum meeting.   Can I buy a ticket on the door? We have a limited number of places at each meeting, so booking in advance is a good idea.    I don’t have my children that day can I still come? You are more than welcome to come without your kids if a meeting falls on a day when you already have childcare in place.   I’m a freelance dad, can I come? Yes, while these events are aimed at mums in business, if this is something as a Dad you identify with too, we’d love to have you!   I can’t make all of the meeting, is it still ok to attend?  Of course, just let us know when you can join, we’d love to have you.   My business is just a germ of an idea, not even a start up, can I come? Yes, this is a place where ideas and people flourish. We encourage people at all stages of their business to come, it’s a great place to exchange ideas and grow.   If you have any other queries or questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us! Parking: For both venues there is parking in the near by Asda car park, where you can park for FREE for 2.5 hours. At St Paul’s Church, there is also meter parking, for 3 hours. Plus at Windmill Hill City Farm, there is the NCP Carpark, Dalby Ave. Fievent.com | Contact | Privacy | Terms
