This workshop is suitable for all beginners; who want to learn stained glass leading in a friendly manner. Learn how to lead stained glass panels / windows, in the company of a small relaxed group and for some time-out in the homely, informal setting of Ruth Mullan’s artist studio. A one day workshop covers, introduction, design for stained glass, introduction to Medium, Materials, Glass cutting, Glass Leading and cementing.If you are interested to go further on a particular aspect of the craft for example, glass painting or drawing, then a tailor-made coaching approach is provided to assist your own needs. No previous stained glass experience is necessary. A maximum of 2-3 participants per workshop. What’s included in the price From a very basic introduction to professional stained glass techniques are covered within the workshop. The beginners will learn the essential stained glass skills: from design, drawing, glass cutting, leading and so on. All equipment and a generous abundance of materials provided to use during the course.You can bring an empty sketchbook or with some of your rough doodles but it is not necessary at all. You will be provided a glass piece or a selection of small pieces (about 6-7 pieces) to work from. You will be able to finish your project within 6 hours during a one day workshop and will be able to take your panel with you. All materials and tools are included in the cost except if you would like to buy something extra. Gloves and aprons are also provided so you do not have to bring your own. Though you are welcome to bring your own tools if you want to. lunch is provided and tea and coffee is provided at any time during the day. Please arrive by 9:55 am for a 10.00 am start.
