The second Annual Awards evening of the new combined group of Chester & Nantwich Advanced Drivers will start at 7.30pm Our guest speaker is John Gregory, a former police driving instructor and now an IAM Examiner – also known as ‘Reg Local’. John says: I’m a huge motoring enthusiast. I love anything to do with cars and driving. I was a police officer for many years, during which time I worked as a traffic officer and eventually as an advanced police driving instructor. I’ve now decided to pass on the knowledge and experience I gained in my police career. I’ve published two books and a number of videos in which I examine the skills required to become a better, smoother and safer road driver. They are aimed at enthusiastic drivers who want to get the most from their car on the road whilst keeping risks to a minimum. I also examine all the major causes of road accidents in the UK and give straightforward advice on how to avoid making those mistakes and how to avoid other drivers’ accidents. This promises to be an interesting and entertaining evening for drivers of all ages and experience, so please come along with family, friends, neighbours and colleagues to this free event. Everyone is welcome. John will present the Group’s Annual Awards and also test certificates to all those members who have passed their advanced driving test with CaNAD in recent months. Refreshments will be available and the evening is expected to finish around 9.15pm
