Wet plate photography workshop, National Trust - Arlington Court & Carriage Museum, Saturday, 07. September 2019
Join local photographer, Stephen Raff, and learn how to make glass plate photographs as done by Miss Rosalie Chichester of Arlington Court, using traditional wooden bellowed cameras and chemicals.
The day consists of a comprehensive introduction to wet plate collodion photography, the history, equipment and chemicals. Weather permitting you will be making glass plates outside using natural light, alternatively indoors with studio lighting. A demonstration will show how to prepare, make and finish your plates, following which you will then spend the day making your own plates with guidance to take home.
Please note the venue for this event has no level access, wheelchairs won't be able to access this room.
