Underwater World of the River Crane, and how volunteers protect it, Kingfisher Bridge, Mereway Nature Park, Saturday, 23. February 2019

Joe Pecorelli will be leading this morning's walk to see the ecology and wildlife along the River Crane. The river corridor is home to fish, water voles, eels and kingfishers, as well as exotics such as terrapins and koi carp.  We cannot promise you will see all of these, but we can see their habitats and hear how these are being protected and improved.  Joe is a FORCE Trustee and works with ZSL to monitor eel populations along the Duke of Northumberland River and River Crane so has extensive knowledge of the underwater wildlife. It wil be an interesting and informative walk.
Please wear suitable outdoor attire for the weather that day and sturdy footwear for outdoor paths.  We look forward to seeing you.
