Understanding Blockchain with Consensys, TechHub London, Wednesday, 17. October 2018

For this month's meetup, Women in Blockchain is teaming up with Consensys to explore Blockchain, their personal journey into blockchain and how the technology impacts us.
We have an amazing line of speakers.
Simona Pop - Head of Marketing and Community at The Bounties Network, a ConsenSys Formation. Simona’s passion for Blockchain comes from the technology’s potential to level out the playing field when it comes to accessing information, resources and a global pool of work. Within Bounties Network, she develops engagements, partnerships and educational initiatives to broaden the understanding and reach of Blockchain across all audiences
Danielle Boutte, the Global Head of Campus Events at ConsenSys started her career in the Ethereum blockchain space after leaving the advertising industry with over 8 years of experience in working with modern technology to create experiential events globally. Her interest in the technology of the future drove her to Blockchain and ConsenSys where she develops initiatives and multi-regional events. Primarily, these events have a strong focus on Blockchain education and enable recruitment opportunities for University Students as well as Professionals form diverse backgrounds.  
Abel Tedros has been obsessed with building and investing in decentralized networks since 2015. He's currently a technical evangelist @ ConsenSys where he's building and evangelising with developer communities for 50 products building these decentralized networks.
Piers Duffell came to ConsenSys and blockchain technology with a background in international development and non-profit management with experience as a Peace Corps Volunteer in eSwatini (Swaziland) and manager of  a morale, wellness, and recreation center in Kandahar and Bagram Afghanistan. Piers became interested in blockchain technology while pursuing his Masters in Public Administration at Rutgers Camden where he convinced his department to send him to first annual Ethereal Summit, after which he began organizing a Blockchain for Social Impact meetup group in Philadelphia. Besides work he likes to bike, cook, and make art.
