Specifically designed for palliative care practitioners and those within care settings who work with people at end of life, this FREE symposium will include:
Professor Philip Larkin Professor of Palliative Care Nursing at the University of Lausanne*, speaking on ‘New horizons in palliative care research – what we need to do and how we need to do it’discussions on end of life strategy to local policy‘Meet the experts’: a question and answer panel with Professor Philip Larkin and local clinical and academic experts in end of life care.

Professor Philip Larkin PhD, MSc, BSc (Hons), RN RCN, RNT
Professor Larkin is Professor of Palliative Care Nursing at the University of Lausanne and President of the European Association of Palliative Care (EAPC). He has worked in palliative care for 30 years and in recognition of his European and International work, received the Lifetime Achievement Award from Macmillan Cancer Support and the International Journal of Palliative Nursing in 2007.
In his current role as Academic Director of the Institute for Training and Research into Care, he is developing a programme of nurse-focused palliative care research in partnership with the palliative care and support service, CHUV, Lausanne Switzerland.
