Rua Red's annual open exhibition of fine and applied arts.
Submissions may be in any discipline: painting, sculpture, new media, digital, printmaking, ceramics, glass, photography, installation and jewellery.
This open submission is an opportunity for graduates, emerging and established artists from or living in Ireland (including the North) to exhibit their work in Gallery 1.
Exhibition dates: 7th December 2018 – 10th January 2019
The overall winner of the Rua Red Art Prize will be awarded a solo show in Gallery 2 at some point during the ensuing 12 month period.
Rua Red has a policy of supporting artists at all stages of their career. One of the new ways that Rua Red will implement this policy is by forming an ‘Acquisition Committee’ in September 2018. The role of the committee will be to select and purchase works from the Winter Open exhibition to form a new collection for the organisation. The works will go on show within the building on a rotational basis in the Conference and Meeting Room areas.
A maximum of 3 images per proposal will be accepted/reviewed. All works submitted for exhibition are considered by a Selection Panel.
To Apply:Fill out the Winter Open Form and send to events@ruared.ie and pay the €10 handling fee via Eventbrite.
Deadline: 1 October at 5pm
