Pupils may be accompanied by 1 or 2 members of staff.

Course Content/Objectives


 Session 2018/19: Every primary and secondary school in Aberdeen City has access to Read&Write includes take home access.
- The aim of this course is to train Texthelp Mentors
- Mentors have the responsibility of training other staff and pupils within their own school.
-This course will introduce Read&Write tools that can help to support all learners in literacy based tasks with reading, writing and organisational skills. 




Outcomes sought


 - Gain an understanding of how Read&Write can be used to support all learners
- Learn how to use a variety of different tools to support literacy work, and how to ensure accessibility options are optimised.
- Improve the learning experience leading to better outcomes and increased attainment for pupils.

2.1.2: Know how to use, design and adapt materials for teaching and learning which stimulate, support and challenge all learners.
3.1.2: Communicate appropriately with all learners, and promote competence and confidence in literacy
