NAHT has partnered with the PSHE association to deliver a comprehensive course for senior leaders looking to successfully implement the statutory changes to RSE. These sessions are phase specific and incorporate a whole school approach to help you navigate this complex environment. Expect to get a lot of practical tips and plans to share with your school stakeholders and avoid the potential pit falls.
This one-day course is designed for Senior leaders and PSHE leads in secondary settings, who wish to deepen their (and their colleagues’) understanding of the subject. It explores the new statutory changes to Relationships and Health Education, their place within the primary PSHE curriculum and what constitutes effective teaching and LeaderThe course will be led by an experienced trainer provided by the PSHE Association who are the national association for PSHE professionals. They are subject experts with a large breadth and depth of knowledge in this specific  A thorough understanding of the statutory changes to PSHE education from September 2020 and the implications for their school•    A clear vision for PSHE education in their school, including the new statutory elements•    An understanding of policy requirements and support for ensuring policies are up to date and fit for purpose•    An understanding of safe and effective practice principles for teaching and learning and support for cascading this to colleagues in school•    An overview of engaging teaching and learning activities and resources•    A year’s organisational membership of the PSHE Association (worth £120) giving each member of their school staff access to all member benefitsThis course is suitable for•    School Leaders including:  Executive Heads, Principles, Head of School and Head teachers•    Deputy and Assistant Heads with interest in PSHE and career development•    PSHE school Leads

Do I need my membership number to book?
Yes. If you are booking a member place you will be required to enter the correct membership number. You can find your membership number by phoning membership on 0300 3030333 option 2.

Is my booking transferrable?
Bookings may only be transferred at the discretion of the Professional Development team. These will need to be made in writing to events@ the event. Transfers and cancellations may be subject to a charge.
Please note that member bookings (Early Bird and Standard) are not transferrable. If a non-member attends an event in place of a member without prior notification and approval by the Professional Development team, the Standard Non-member charge will be applicable.
Cancellation fees:
Within 20 working days - 25% charge
Within 10 working days - 50% charge
Within 5 working days - 75% charge
Within 2 working days - 100% charge
Can I update my registration information?
Any updates to your booking must be made in writing to the Professional Development team at events@
Does the name on the booking need to match the delegate?
The names of each individual delegate must be entered during the booking process along with a unique email address for each delegate as this will be used for the final confirmation.
