Strategic management of complex CSE investigations, NWG Network, Tuesday, 20. November 2018

The intended audience – senior police officers (chief Inspector and above) with responsibility for strategic management of complex CSE investigations.
Learning outcomes-
This event is the second in a series of workshops aimed at Strategic Police leads, who have responsibility for the management of complex CSE investigations.
This workshop will cover the initial stages for the management of complex CSE investigations, drawing on first-hand experience from a 4 year long complex CSE investigation in the West Midlands Police (Operation Barzini). Operation Barzini did not fit with stereotypical typologies of victims or offenders, the victims were male and the offenders were predominantly white males.
This workshop will look at the initial management decisions, management actions, investigative resources and initial investigative strategies considered.
