Social Media for Charities - Strategy, Content, Planning, Hands-On & More, Health and Social Care Alliance Scotland (the ALLIANCE), Wednesday, 12. June 2019
Please note the content of this workshop is the same as our 'Social Media Essentials' workshop.
This full-day workshop (lunch included) will help you ensure your social media activity is closely aligned to organisational goals. You'll come away from this session with an understanding of how social media can help your organisation achieve its aims, how you can protect your charity, staff and volunteers with a simple policy, which channels are key to your online presence and content planning techniques.
You'll also get a chance to get hands-on with Twitter - exploring the fundamentals, Lists, Hashtags and more - plus you'll learn what makes a Facebook Page or Group really work for a third sector organisation.
There's also time allocated for an open discussion session, allowing us to explore specific topics set by the group. This could be a particular channel like LinkedIn, Snapchat or Instagram or it could be an issue you're facing in your organisation.
This training will help you to:
- Understand the benefits of using social media
- Develop a social media strategy
- Develop a social media policy
- Get hands-on with Twitter & Facebook
- Understand the role of your website, blogging and video & audio content.
- Explore a range of channels like Snapchat, Instagram, LinkedIn, e-Newsletters and more.
Please bring a laptop or other wi-fi enabled device to take part in the hands-on sessions. If you cannot access one please let us know in advance and we will allocate you a device.
This full-day course is aimed at those new to online comms and those who want to take their social media presence to the next level. As with all of our workshops these sessions are for charity, community group, housing association, social enterprise and public sector staff and volunteers only.
Lunch and refreshments throughout the day are included in the ticket price. There will be teas & coffees from 9.30am - the workshop will start at 10.00am.
To pay offline using cheque or invoice simply select your payment method at checkout OR email karen@ we will quickly book a place on your behalf. Invoices must be paid prior to the workshop.
