SlamOVision , Nonsuch theatre, Saturday, 27. April 2019

SlamOVision is a fun spoken word version of Eurovision, where ten local poets will compete in front of a panel of judges, with the chance to win big prizes, and go through to the international competition, pitting their poetry against performers from around the world!

On the night, there’ll be two rounds, and with ten local poets competing in the first round. The judges will pick the top three poets from round one, who'll then compete for the winning spot.

The theme of the competition is Truth, and it looks set to be a fast-paced event, full of great poetry and even better performances!

At the end of the night, the judges will announce the winner, who will receive £300 prize money!

SlamOVision is part of a worldwide competition, curated by the UNESCO Cities of Literature, and the final round of the competition will be recorded live. The winner’s video will be submitted to the SlamOVision international competition and displayed on the SlamOVision website. The 28 UNESCO Cities of Literature will vote for their favourites, and the overall winner will have the honour of becoming an international slam champion!

There are only limited tickets available for this event - so get them while they last!
