Sister Stories with Rachael Rafferty, The Nesting Place, Friday, 26. July 2019

Give yourself a moment this month to join me in doing ordinary things in an extraordinary way. At a Sister Stories circle something magical happens when we connect with each other to listen, to witness and, often, to speak our truths. There is no expectation to bring anything but yourself. You do not need to prepare. It can be wonderful to speak and equally wonderful not to. This space is gentle, full of kindness and I hope that you'll join us to experience it for yourself - you deserve it.
Sister Stories is an evening for women to come together; to be seen and heard; and deepen their sense of connection to self and others. All contributions are valued in this space so that we may experience the simple joy that comes from knowing we’re all in it together.
Why Stories?
Communities have been gathering to tell each other stories since the beginning of time. Stories are the way that we experience the world and are one of the first things that we learn to communicate, they do not need to be complex or long, they are simply our observations of life happening in and around us. They are the fabric that knit our lives together, strengthening our bonds to one-another through the universal themes of humanity. Stories surround us, empower us, comfort us, and deepen our sense of compassion and connection. The act of telling our stories is one of the most simple and life affirming experiences we can enjoy together.
The Format
We'll come together in small, cosy gathering and will each share a story or set of thoughts on a theme relating to womanhood. The discussion will be led, so there's no pressure to speak, we just ask that you bring openness and the desire to connect.
Our circle will open at 7.00pm but you will be warmly welcomed from 6.45pm to allow time for you to feel settled and calm before we begin. Warm drinks will be available for you to enjoy on your arrival and I encourage you to have something to eat before joining us as we will be gathered together until about 8.30pm.
The Space
This Sister Stories gathering will be facilitated by me, Rachael Rafferty. It will be held in the nurturing and calming haven that is The Nesting Place. Free parking is available onsite and the building is accessible by either stairs or ramp. We will be using large floor cushions to sit on during our gathering - if this is a worry for you please contact me.

Ticket Prices
Everyone is welcome. If you would otherwise be unable to join us please use the code ‘welcome’ to receive a ticket for £5.00 or contact me to discuss options.
