Section 42 Safeguarding Enquiries , Cromwell Room, Monday, 11. November 2019

PLEASE NOTE: This training does not replace your own organisation's mandatory Section 42 training. 

Care Act training for senior staff who have completed safeguarding awareness training and who can be caused to undertake Section 42  Enquiries by the LA. 
Target Audience:
Senior Staff with professional and organisational safeguarding responsibilities who may be caused to make Section 42 enquiries within their own organisation and work in partnership with the ***** at risk and partner agencies. 
Intense 1 Day Section 42 enquiry training.
Learning outcomes of the course are:
•             Understand the statutory safeguarding framework in the Care Act 2014
•             Define the principles of information sharing
•             Understand the triggers to a Section 42 Enquiry
•             Consider other kinds of safeguarding responses
•             Understand what triggers a provider led enquiry
•             Identify person centred approaches and principles to safeguarding
•             Identify roles and responsibilities in supporting adults at risk of abuse and neglect.

Only one ticket should be booked per named candidate. If you are booking for other members of your team, please ensure that their names are accurately recorded.

The HSAB does not accept bookings from delegates using a private e-mail address.  If you do not have a work e-mail address, then please arrange for your organisation to make the booking for you. 

Hampshire Safeguarding Adults Board (HSAB) fully fund training to partner agencies. In the case of non-attendance or cancellation within 48 working hours of an event, a fee of £75 for the training course will be incurred. This fee will be waived if a substitute delegate is sent instead, but you must let us know if this happens. All cancellations or changes must be sent in writing to strategicpartnershipteam@. All training events are FREE to attend and places must be booked in advance. HSAB will circulate details of all events in advance and will provide a link to Eventbrite to enable bookings to be made on line. For more information, please contact hsab@
