Background, justification, aims and significance                                                                                                        The fate of the children who are deprived of parental care and supervision around the World  is an issue that has been troubling the international community for many 1996, data published by UNICEF estimated the number of homeless children around the World to be approx. 5.5 million.
Currently, according to data provided in a report of the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), almost 50 million children around the World have been forced to abandon their homes fleeing from violence, conflicts and other disasters. Among them, there are 10 million refugees, 1 million seeking and waiting for asylum in other countries, and 17 million children defined as internal refugees.
Current data by UNICEF suggests that approximately 100 million children are temporarily homeless or on the street.
Due to the growth of the world population and the current political instability in some developed and less developed Countries, it is difficult to cite accurate data to show the actual figure.
