Rhino's Road to Recovery, The Royal Geographical Society, Thursday, 04. April 2019

'RHINO'S ROAD TO RECOVERY' - an evening of inspirational discussion on the grassroots engagement and global commitment to saving rhinos.
Join TV wildlife presenter, scientist and conservationist, PATRICK ARYEE as he shares his fascinating insights into the vital role rhinos and other mega-herbivores play in creating and maintaining a healthy eco-system across Africa. Patrick will also discuss the important role we all have to play in conserving the rhinoceros.
Ol Pejeta ranger and northern white rhino carer JAMES MWENDA, is a living demonstration of local community involvement in wildlife conservation. In his first visit to the UK, James will share his unique knowledge, the highs and lows of looking after the last northern white rhinos left in the world, and explain the promise he made to Sudan, the last male northern white rhino, when he died in early 2018.
We will also update you on the latest developments in the ground breaking scientific research that we hope will bring a species back from brink of extinction.
Hosted by the 'voice of cycling', Phil Liggett, and including a stunning auction with TV's Jonty Hearnden, Helping Rhinos and Ol Pejeta hope you will join them at the Royal Geographical Society on Thursday 4th April from 18:00 for an evening not to be missed.
