Are you a professional who wants to make a difference to deaf children and their families?  
Raising a deaf child can be challenging with many families needing guidance to help understand the impact deafness can have. This programme gives you a wealth of ideas and strategies to improve the way you support parents and carers. You’ll leave the training inspired and confident to deliver the Raising a deaf child programme to the families you work with. You’ll have opportunity to practise new approaches during the day and take away step-by-step plans to use in the future. This practical, CAN-accredited programme is built on evidence-based strategies that deliver positive impact for families and deaf children.

This course will run subject to enough delegates booking on.  We will let you know whether the course will run two weeks prior to the scheduled date.  We advise that you do not book travel or accommodation prior to that confirmation as we will not be able to refund expenses in case of cancellation.

Do I need to book my own communication support? 
No - please let us know what communication support you require and we will book it for you. 

How much does it cost?
£95 per delegate, payable via credit/debit card, cheque and invoice.

Do I need to do any prep before attending?
No, however we do ask that you complete the following survey before attending: 

What are my transport options for getting to and from the event?
The event will be hosted at the NDCS head office in London. The nearest underground station is Old Street; a 5 minute walk away.

Car parking
There are no car parks directly on site. You can find information about local car parking here. 

Is lunch provided?
Please note that lunch is not provided. Delegates will be asked to bring their own lunch or make use of any local cafes. Refreshments, such as tea, coffee and water will be available.

Can I give my place to a friend or colleague if I can't come?
Yes, however you must notify us in advance, at least 5 days before the workshop takes place via training@

Can I book a place without a purchase order number?
Yes, please indicate that a PO number is to be provided, e.g. enter ‘to be confirmed’ when completing the registration form above as an answer to the question about a purchase order number – as soon as the PO number has been approved, please email training@ or call 0121 234 9820 with the details and we can ensure it is added to the invoice. If you need our bank details in order to set NDCS up as a supplier on your finance system, again please contact us and we can do this for you.

What if I need to cancel?
In the event the

Delegate cancels 20 working days or less before the planned date, a charge of 100% of the total cost will be made

Delegate cancels 21 - 30 working days before the planned date, a charge of 50% will be made

Delegate cancels 31 working days before the planned date, no charge will be made.
