Problem Solving across the Mathematics Curriculum, DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Nottingham - Gateway, Tuesday, 21. January 2020
This course will equip practitioners with a toolkit of strategies for enabling children to become independent problem solvers. Drawing on aspects of Standard 3: Subject and Curriculum and Standard 4: Classroom Practice from the EEF’s Early Career Framework, the emphasis will be on using models and scaffolds effectively to nurture flexible thinking.
The use of stem sentences, examples and non-examples will be explored for developing mathematical reasoning skills.
