10 week Jewellery Making with Metals for Improvers (Jan 2019) 
This course is intended for students who have already completed a beginner course in Jewellery making with metals, or who have a basic knowledge of Jewellery-making techniques such as soldering, annealing, sawing and piercing, and some surface finishing techniques.

Week 1
Introduction – Back to basics of soldering and piercing
Week 2 and 3
Cold connections - Riveting
Week 4 and 5
Enamelling
Week 6
Jump Ring and Chain Making
Week 7
Chain Making
Week 8 -10
Students project time – With Tutor guidance

Please note, the above course content should be viewed as a guide. The tutor may choose to alter content according  according to student needs.

Entry Requirements
You will have completed beginner level Jewellery Short Course or have basic knowledge of Jewellery making techniques such as soldering, annealing, sawing and piercing, and some surface finishing techniques.

Materials and Equipment
Demonstration or materials for experimentation in base metals will be provided free of charge but you may be required to purchase your own materials in order to complete your personal creative projects or if working in silver.
Equipment will be provided but some students may wish to bring their own tools. Bring a pen, pencil and folder to put course notes into, and bringing an old cotton tea towel/flannel would be useful to you. Please wear old clothes and strong, flat, closed-toe footwear.
