Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy for Life 8 week course - Tuesdays 6.30-8.30pm, Insole Court, Tuesday, 24. September 2019

The course is based on the original Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT course) and has been adapted by the clinical psychologists at Oxford University Mindfulness Centre to be used in community settings, where people can participate in the programme over 8 weekly sessions of 2 hours. It is intended for people who want to reduce stress and improve mental wellbeing. It is taught in a suitable and safe environment, in a group of 10-18  people.
Participants will practice mindfulness meditations as well as cognitive -behavioural approaches in ways that are accessible to all. The course offers a different way of living that supports people to work with distress and difficulties, and enhance resilience as well as realise their potential and experience gratitude.
Tuesdays 6.30-8.30pm 24th September -19th November
(excluding half term week on Tuesday 29th October)

Cost -£165 waged and £130 unwaged 
Refund policy- 14 days full refund, 7 days 50 %,refund, 1-6 days before event  no refund. 
MBCT for Life is a skills-based course rather than group therapy. 
Participants will learn:

to understand the workings of their mind and recognise patterns/mental habits 
to stand back from difficult thoughts and feelings
begin to recognise early warning signs and take action
be kinder and more compassionate to yourself

About Clare McRobbie
Clare is a trained  MBCT for Life course teacher  and has a PG Diploma in MBCT from University of Exeter and is listed on the UK Network for Mindfulness-based Training Organisations website, which means she has been able to demonstrate (via an assessment process) that she meets the UK Good Practice Guidelines for Mindfulness-Based Teachers, i.e. she is suitably trained, committed to continuous professional development and holds appropriate insurance and is receiving supervision for their teaching.
