Mental Health Awareness Training - All clusters , Park Royal School, Friday, 21. June 2019

Geographical cluster based training covering anxiety, depression, self-harm (including the Self-Harm Pathway) and outcome measures (specifically Strengths and Difficulties Questionnaire SDQ, understanding and scoring).
Staff are directed to complete four mind-ed core modules then attend the training sessions to gain additional knowledge and embed learning into practice. This is done through practical case studies and resources to help respond confidently to specific mental health difficulties.
Attendees should register at and create a learning account. They are advised to complete the following Minded modules prior to attendance. Each module takes approximately 20 minutes to complete:
Measuring what happens (Outcome Measures)                    module code 410-067
The worried child (Anxiety)                                                    module code 410-025
Sad, bored or isolated (Depression)                                      module code 410-021
Self-harm and risky behaviour (Self-Harm)                           module code 410-029
Who should attend:
1 place per school
We suggest that a different member of staff from each school attend the respective sessions each term as our hope is that 3 members of staff from each school will be trained by the end of the academic year. We suggest that this may be a pastoral staff member, safeguarding lead or someone with a special interest and function within the school around emotional health and wellbeing (e.g. Teaching Assistant, Learning Mentor) but is open to anyone!
