Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work with Lunch Included, Hotel Ibis Swansea, Thursday, 15. October 2020

This course covers the responsibilities of a first aider, the unconscious patient, CPR, AED, bleeding, and some medical conditions.



This one-day Emergency First Aid at Work course provides learners with the skills to keep someone safe until the emergency services arrive. The course covers basic life-saving skills required, including assessing the scene, the unconscious patient and major bleeds.

The course is appropriate to low-risk workplaces and small sites, where a first aid needs risk assessment has identified a need for Emergency First Aiders. The course is in-line with the requirements of the Health and Safety Executive (HSE).

EFAW Syllabus

The course is made up of practical and theoretical sessions which include a range of topics are covered including:

- Your responsibilities

- Accident reporting

- Assessing the situation

- First Aid hygiene

- Dealing with an unresponsive casualty

- Cardiopulmonary resuscitation

- Choking

- Burns

- Seizures

- Minor injuries

- Bleeding and shock





Certification

Sucessful candidates will be issued with an Ofqual regulated Level 3 Emergency First Aid at Work by the awarding body First Aid Awards.



Certification Renewal

The qualification lasts for three years and can be renewed by resitting the qualification.

Refreshments

There will be three planned breaks per day. There will be tea and coffee available during the morning and afternoon break and a sandwich buffett for lunch.
