LEEF Storytelling Circle + food and a fire, Wild Cat Wilderness, Thursday, 25. July 2019

Dear LEEFers,
We're delighted to invite you to our first LEEF Storytelling Circle on the evening of Thursday 25th July in Catford, South East London. Come and practise your traditional storytelling skills around a fire, in one of London's most hidden wild spaces.
The evening will build on two storytelling training days that we've held over the past year. We encourage you to bring a favourite story to tell, or you are welcome to come along and listen.
The event will be hosted by Wildcat Wilderness, a six-acre, largely unexplored green space bordering the Pool River in Catford. We have a log circle plus some benches, chairs and straw bales so can accommodate up to about 25 people comfortably around the fire.
Stories can be on any topic, but those with a LEEFy, ecological or environmental theme would be especially welcome. Stories can be short or long (but up to 20 mins max), and should be told rather than read. The first 6 people to put their name down on arrival will have the opportunity to tell a tale.

Gates open at 5.30pm. Come and explore the space, and help cook dinner on the fire.
Storytelling will begin at 6.30pm and end by 9.15pm.
No entry after 6.30pm as it is a locked site.
This is a LEEF only event, but you are welcome to invite a friend.
£5 ticket will cover food and drink costs.
What to bring: A willingness to enjoy a story and tell one yourself!
We are grateful to Anna Portch, LEEF trustee, for compèring the evening, and Maria Devereaux from Rushey Green Time Bank/Wildcat Wilderness for hosting us.
