Ladders Careers Day - Exploring Creative Careers in Music, Newcastle University, Wednesday, 27. March 2019

In association with the International Centre for Music Studies, Newcastle University, the Ladders Careers Day will offer an exciting selection of talks and specialist panels from key areas of creative industry in film/tv, software and music.
On the 27th March, a fantastic line-up of speakers will be presenting their backgrounds and experiences to support young people considering their next steps in creative careers. Come along to hear some inspirational stories,  advice and guidance and visit specialist industry exhibition stands.
2.45pm - 4.30pm - Hear from a range of professionals in music production, songwriting, festival organisation, music therapy and more.
When booking, simply pick the speaker you would like to hear from in a small presentation and then join the rest of the speakers on a Q&A panel.
In the MUSIC section we have;
Andrew Archer - Label Manager at Global Underground, Owner at Loft Music, Producer in TrafikSpecialities: Music production, composing, music licensing, contracts, negotiation, royalty accounts, CD manufacture and production, music publishing, lecturing, compilation album mixing, DJing, live performances.
Harambee Pasadia - Co-Founders - Dr. Hannabiell Sanders & Yilis Suriel are the co-founders and organizers of Harambee Pasadia Festival, the first Afro Fusion Music, Dance & Camping festival, based in the North East of England
Alison Hornblower - Head of Music Services - Alison is Head of Music Services at Nordoff Robbins. Nordoff Robbins is the largest independent music therapy charity in the UK. Music therapy is a specialist use of music that aims to facilitate physical and emotional wellbeing and to promote the development and retention of key communication skills.
Wayne McDonald- One half of The ILLIONNaires, DJ, producer and songwriter - Wayne is a well-respected DJ, Producer and Songwriter based in the North East. He is Co-Founder of music production company The ILLIONaires, as well as currently hosting his own radio show, 'Sugar Radio Show' on Spice FM.
