Home-Visiting Volunteer Training , Home-Start Croydon, Thursday, 26. September 2019

What does Home-Start do? Home-Start believes that every family is special and we respond to each family's needs through a combination of home visiting and social events.
We offer a unique service to families by recruiting and training volunteers, who are often parents themselves, to visit families in their homes. Our volunteers offer informal, compassionate, and confidential support free of judgement. Family life is important for all children but especially in their early years. (We support families with children under 5.)
Starting in the home, our approach is as individual as the people we’re helping. Sharing local expertise to drive national and regional change.
Please note: This role requires a commitment of 2-3 hours per week for at least 6 months. Most of the families also require support in school hours, on week days.
NB. Please note that this ticket is an enquiry only. There is a process for all those wishing to start the training course including completion of our application pack, interview, enhanced DBS check etc.
**We cover the whole of Croydon borough, from Upper Norwood in the North to Coulsdon in the South**
