Meet outside the front of pavilion where the Cafe at Hogacre Common is based, for a one-hour nature walk with our resident nature expert Nick Boyd (). During the walk you will explore the meadow for signs interesting wildlife and the search the sky for brilliant birds.
Binoculars (to be shared amongst the group) will be provided, however if you have your own pair, please do bring them along.

Don’t forget to bring suitable clothes and footwear to keep you warm and protected, for an hour-long walk outside in the elements. Nature walks are weather dependent - we will email you on the day if heavy rain or wind makes nature-watching impossible.
Everyone is welcome on our nature walks. However, to help us ensure everyone is kept engaged, we ask that young families (children under 10 years old) book on to our morning sessions. Children under 16 years old must be accompanied by an *****.

A word from your nature guide, Nick Boyd:

"Growing up birding has tuned me into the sights and sounds of the natural world, and meant that I am never bored when in green space. I have spent a large chunk of the last decade working in forest conservation in the Asian topics. It was there that I discovered how much I enjoy sharing my passion for finding wildlife with others, and learned more about other animals, especially invertebrates.
