Have your Say! RedCycle Discussion Meeting, Barnstaple Library, Saturday, 28. September 2019

As you may have heard either at our event or online. The Red Box Project is closing nationally, however we have decided to remain open here in North Devon under new branding.
Our new projects name shall be RedCycle. Our focus shall be the same in that we are on a mission to end period poverty in North Devon. However we would like to make the project more inclusive to all ages by getting boxes of free menstrual products set up outside of schools as well as in more primary schools. We shall be working with other groups that help vulnerable or disadvantaged people in society.
We would also like to be involved in educating young people about periods, whilst looking at the variety of menstrual products avaliable. Alongside this, we shall be working with Plastic Free North Devon to reduce single plastic use and encouraging people to make the switch to greener periods and having a more eco-friendly approach to tackling period poverty.
With these changes, we believe it is time to reapply for a grant from North Devon Council. I am calling a discussion for anyone who would like to be involved in helping us to write our bid. It is a great opportunity to have your voice heard and help us to shape a project that shall work best for our community.
Please share this with your friends and family.
