Emotional Resilience - 90mins with Registered Counsellor - Online, SW6 3PA, Saturday, 25. January 2020
About this Event
Can we learn to dance in the rain whilst we are waiting for a storm to pass?
Life can be testing at the best of times and in all likelihood this can be one of the most challenging times any of us will ever see.
We know that Coronavirus COVID-19 has many potential implications on mental health, stress and anxiety for us all: you might find yourself having thoughts and conversations about situations that you never thought you would see.
Is there also a Stress Pandemic that transcends and goes beyond this current moment?
Bruce Lipton, one of the most respected scientists and biologists says: “Stress, the problem that fear generates, is responsible for up to 90% of all disease. We have to learn to let go of the fear.”
Could this time be an opportunity for self-reflection, taking stock and learning?
Much attention and publicity is given to the subject of stress without a real understanding of its essential nature. It is said that we are more stress-prone than ever...
Do you live how you feel you should live, as opposed to how you want to live? What are your stress triggers? How do you develop an internal sense of emotional safety and balance? Is it possible to thrive in times of challenge? How is stress impacting the relationship you have with yourself and your loved ones?
Have you ever tried to find balance in the midst of modern life, slow down and find glimpses of peace and fulfilment?
We invite you to a personal online ****-to-**** workshop with one of Leone Centre registered therapist to explore the impact of stress and anxiety on your mind and body, understand the root cause of your stress & anxiety responses, redefine your relationship with your stressors and understand helpful ways to manage your stress & anxiety for this time ahead and beyond.
Leone Centre 2x50minutes workshop has been developed by therapists Chloe Hedley and Cristina Vrech and it is delivered by a qualified UKCP/BACP registered Counsellor/Psychotherapist.
You will look at these two interrelated parts – 1) calming the nervous system and managing symptoms of stress and anxiety and 2) looking at your personal relationship to our stressors, processing and understanding our triggers so that they have less power and influence over our nervous system - getting to the root cause.
Our goal is to help you settle from a time of challenge onto a new self-awareness and knowledge so that you can begin to create and maintain a lifestyle to fulfil your potential.
From building your emotional resilience, redefining your relationships with your stressors, shifting your perception to gaining the confidence to say no in a society full of pressure to say yes…We’ll discuss ways that can empower you to harness your own healing potential to rewire the brain through self-awareness and reprogram your response to stress and anxiety.
