Eating disorders, Archbishop Holgate's School, Monday, 21. October 2019

High school students/pupils are nine times more likely to disclose an eating disorder to a teacher than parent/carer. It is estimated that over a million people suffer with an eating disorder. It is also important to highlight it is thought that 1:4 suffers are boys or men.
Early intervention and support is key to recovery. This session will explore what we mean by eating disorders, signs and symptoms (spotting the signs) and offer strategies to support a young person and further resources and support
The session will be delivered by Gemma Fieldsend from the CWMT
