Dorset Anti-Bullying Service Awareness and Fundraising Evening, St Johns Church, Wednesday, 13. November 2019

Have you been bullied ? Are you a bully?
Dorset Anti-bullying service (DABS) is a not for profit project which provides information, support and training to raise awareness of the impact of bullying.
In today’s world bullying and/or harassment of all types are on the increase, becoming more acceptable and present in everyday life. Research shows that 1 in 2 adults will be affected by bullying at some point in their life time, either directly or indirectly, with the most vulnerable in our society being at greatest risk. **** to ****, text, email and social media are used to bully within our communities, workplaces and relationships.
To celebrate National Anti-bullying month Alison Fox the founder of DABS is hosting the evening which will include psycho-education about the links between childhood abuse, relational/domestic abuse and workplace/community bullying.

This can be a painful and emotive subject, to balance this we are delighted 'PICT'an eclectic local band will be providing light hearted musical entertainment and there will be an opportunity to purchase crafts and gifts from local crafters who are donating 10% of sales at the event to the work of DABS.

This will be of interest for anybody who wants to learn how to recognise what bullying is and isn’t , how to recover from the impact, learn how to change their behaviour, listen to actual lived experience or get involved supporting others as Anti-Bullying ambassadors.

There will be an interval with light refreshments and a retiring collection for the work of Dorset Anti-Bullying Service.
Please get in touch if you have a medical condition/impairment/disability and require support to access the event.
CLOSING DATE TO BOOK TICKETS IS 09.11.19
