Discovering Britain's Bayeux Tapestry - A Day Out in Reading, Railair Coach Stop, Tuesday, 03. September 2019

If you want to see the world famous Bayeux Tapestry you could take a long weekend and go to Normandy. But if you are in a hurry you could take a 25 minute train ride from Paddington and see a full size replica of the Bayeux Tapestry in Reading Museum. Rob will talk about the Bayeux Tapestry as part of this tour of one of South East England's most underrated towns. Outside the museum you will see the Abbey where Henry I is buried, the place Jane Austen went to school, the memorial to battle that Dr Watson was injured in and the place where Oscar Wilde was imprisoned.
Meet in Reading for a two hour tour then you are free to explore the museums, shops or River Thames walks. Or if you prefer meet Rob at Paddington and travel with him.
