Imagine living without stress and tension – a life free from worry, anxiety and the many daily problems these negative states of mind create. On these classes, we will look at how meditation can beat stress and help you to be more relaxed, peaceful and positive in daily life. Train in powerful stress-busting techniques derived from ancient Buddhist wisdom, **** life’s adversities with a happy heart, learn how to deal with ‘difficult people’ without getting angry, and transform hardships into opportunities for spiritual growth. 

About the Classes
Everyone is welcome. Classes are offered seated on chairs. Each class is self-contained and includes an initial breathing meditation, a talk (see class topics) and a second meditation.
There is always time for discussion, to ask questions and for advice on how to improve your practice of meditation at the end of each class.
Classes are guided by experienced teachers who will inspire you by explaining the benefits of meditation, share step by step instructions and offer practical advice for daily life.

About the Centre
Heruka Kadampa Meditation Centre (KMC) is located close to Golders Green tube and bus stations. It is a charity whose purpose is to help people develop inner peace and happiness through the meditation practices of Kadampa Buddhism. It has been offering a diverse programme of activities from introductory classes to in-depth study and meditation programmes in London for over 25 years. 

What will each session consist of?
Each session will include a combination of teachings and guided meditations with an opportunity to discuss during the break time.
Do I need to bring anything or wear anything special?
No. You can choose to sit on chairs, or cushions if you prefer to sit cross-legged. You don’t need to bring anything else with you, but some people like to take notes during the session, so feel free to bring a paper and pen.
What if I’m new to this?
Everyone is welcome to participate and will benefit both new and experienced people alike. Our reception staff will happily recommend some follow-on reading or classes after the course if you are interested.
