This two day course gives participants the understanding, knowledge and tools to create an effective strategy for corporate fundraising (CFR) and to develop and manage complex corporate partnerships.
Who should attend:
This course is designed for participants with a minimum of 2 years fundraising experience. To gain maximum benefit from this course you should have a minimum of one year of practical corporate fundraising experience, with working knowledge of payroll giving, charity of the year and pitching for corporate partnerships or sponsorship

Identify the role CFR plays in a charity’s overall business plan
Describe the range of options for structuring a corporate fundraising department and the skills required to carry out CFR
Describe the proposal and pitching processes involved in winning many CFR partnership and the skills required to make them successful
Develop an account management strategy
State the legal and tax issues relevant to corporate fundraising
Explain some of the ethical issues in relation to corporate fundraising

About your trainer:
Julia Worthington BA Hons, MinstF(Dip), MILM
Julia has been a fundraiser for over twenty-five years, working as a volunteer and professional fundraiser, for national, regional and international charities. Her experience spans community, corporate, major donor, individuals’ capital appeals and she loves putting together a fundraising strategy! For the last six years she has been a consultant, trainer, coach and mentor, running her own consultancy, Amber Consulting.
Her portfolio includes providing consultancy for Lloyds Bank Foundation Enhance programme, as their fundraising specialist in the North West, supporting small charities; working as a trainer for the Institute of Fundraising on the hugely successful ‘Giving to Heritage’ programme, as well as their standard training programme. Speaking at conferences for IOF North West, IOF Yorkshire and at IOF Convention, IDPE and the Hospices Conference.
Coaching is her true vocation and over the last three years she has specialised in coaching those involved in fundraising or development, to achieve their professional and/or personal goals. Julia achieved her ILM Level 7 qualification in Executive Coaching and Mentoring in 2018, her own personal and professional goal!
