Birmingham, Moseley Park, Summer Wild Food Foraging Course/Walk, Moseley Park and Pool, Friday, 26. June 2020

Situated south of Birmingham, Moseley Park is beautifully maintained gated greenspace with plenty of species to discover in autumn.
This foraging course venue is easy to get to from Birmingham, Solihull, Coventry, Redditch, Stourbridge, West Bromwich, Coventry and Wolverhampton.
On this foraging walk, you will discover how to identify some commonly growing foods to forage for, and hints on where to look. When we meet up, we will go through laws and safety points of foraging before heading out to discover the wild food in the area.

an overview of foraging laws and safety

exploration of the venue

introduction to a number of edible species 

instruction on how to tell edible species apart from poisonous lookalikes

tips on harvesting

information on where to find these species again

recipe ideas

wild food treat/s to sample

digital information sheet sent after the course

All samples are 100% plant/fungi-based or have a 100% plant/fungi-based alternative
Participants must be aged 18 or over - sorry, no babes in arms
Unfortunately, dogs are not permitted on the course
