Big Seaweed Search at Kingsgate, Kingsgate Bay, Wednesday, 04. September 2019

The Big Seaweed Search is a citizen science initiative run by the Natural History Museum to monitor the effects of environmental change on Britain’s sea life by exploring the seashore and recording the living seaweeds found.
This is a really easy survey to carry out, even with no knowledge of British seaweeds. Come along and find out for yourself how simple it is and maybe even be inspired to do it yourself on your own shore!
All materials provided. Please dress for the weather and wear sturdy shoes, we will be walking out on to the rocky and slippery shore. You will need to be of reasonable mobility.
Further details will be sent out closer to the event.
