An Introduction to Child Sexual Exploitation, Trafficking, Missing and County Lines , Room 1.24, Tuesday, 25. June 2019

Target Group: People who work or volunteer with children and young people and may be in a position to spot concerns around child sexual exploitation or criminal exploitation
Session Aim: This course is an introduction to Child Sexual Exploitation and Criminal Exploitation and will cover information that participants need to know in order to spot the signs and indicators. The course will also make participants aware of how to share that information.
Objectives:By the end of the session, participants will be more effective in :• Understanding the definitions of CSE, Trafficking and County Lines as used in local LSCB procedure and how they fit into the national policy framework.• Applying knowledge of vulnerability factors, key signs and indicators, in relation to child and young person development, in order to intervene at the earliest opportunity.• Recognising when a child or young person is in danger, or already involved in CSE and missing, and be able to take action to protect them.• Understanding local developments and procedures, including how information is shared locally within and between agencies
