Alcohol Awareness Training for Professionals, Change, grow, live, Thursday, 23. January 2020
Overall Goal
To share information on alcohol and the associated risks of alcohol use, as well as the treatment options provided by The Alcohol Service and other providers, in Westminster, Kensington & Chelsea and Hammersmith & Fulham.
Audience
Partner agencies, interested professionals and new change, grow, live staff who would benefit from an understanding of The Alcohol Service's pathways and treatment model.
Outcomes
To provide awareness of alcohol use, units of measurement, government guidelines and the social and health implications often associated with alcohol consumption.
To build solid working relationships with partner agencies.
To share the referral process and service user journey, looking at motivation, potential barriers to treatment and outcomes.
To increase the number and quality of referrals to The Alcohol Service through a better understanding of the services provided and an understanding of the people that do or may come to use our service.
The training will be interactive, adaptive and informal- aiming to meet the needs of all participants at their individual level of knowledge.
