AET – good autism practice, Keyworth Village Hall, Wednesday, 22. May 2019

This one day training course aims to increase the participants understanding of autism while providing a wide range of approaches, strategies and systems aimed at developing good autism practice in a range of areas including for example: increasing engagement, reducing anxiety, adapting learning environments, promoting independence, structuring and personalising learning.
It is suitable for staff who work with and / or support colleagues who work with children on the spectrum in both mainstream and specialist settings.
The training will:

Enable practitioners to develop their knowledge and understanding of good autism practice.

Provide practical strategies, guidelines and activities that can be used to support autistic children in their settings

Support practitioners to reflect on and improve their own practice.

This session is suitable for practitioners working with school-age pupils on the autism spectrum in both mainstream and specialist services.
