About this Event

M6 - Fuel Efficiency, Emissions & Air Quality:

(FORS LoCITY - Time to clean up eLearning included)

This module focuses on vehicle emissions, fuel efficient

driving techniques and cleaner vehicle and alternative fuel

technologies. The course equips drivers with knowledge

of urban driving in the wider context and the strategy to

improve air quality, actions and techniques to reduce fuel

consumption and costs and the importance of vehicle

checks and maintenance to reduce unnecessary emissions.

An interactive case study that covers the cause and effects

of poor air quality, driver behaviour and fuel consumption.

M8 - Terrorism Risk and Incident Prevention:

(FORS Security and counter terrorism eLearning included)

Terrorism Risk and Incident Prevention (TRIP) equips drivers with

the knowledge and skills to operate safely and reduce the

risks of terrorism. This module aims to substantially increase the

awareness of HGV drivers relating to their own personal safety

and security as well as outlining their role and responsibilities

safeguarding the general public. TRIP focuses on the importance

of the HGV driver’s personal safety and security in relation to

the potential exposure to criminal and hostile acts; emphasising

the importance of their role ensuring their vehicles, including

the loads they carry, remain safe, secure and legal at all times.

The Safe, Green & Efficient CPC courses are full day courses made up of 2 CPC modules covering 'hot topics' within the transport industry.

Each full day Safe, Green & Efficient course contributes 7 hours towards CPC. Each Safe, Green & Efficient course is approved by JAUPT.

Costs

IMPORTANT: If drivers wish to have their details uploaded to the DSA website so its counts towards their 35 hours DCPC, then they need to ensure they bring £9.95 cash to cover the upload fee. You will need to notify the trainer on the day.

(£9.95 Upload fee is £8.75 ex.VAT plus £1 administration (which includes certificate) plus VAT).

In order for a driver to be accredited with the Driver CPC hours they must complete the entire course and arrive for the course promptly and on time.
